Handmade wooden jewellery
The easiest way to make wooden rings! (No lathe, no drill, no power tools!)
How to make wooden rings using the bent wood ring method from wood veneer
The easiest way to make wooden rings! (No lathe, no drill, no power tools!)
Low cost, fast and easy method
Bent wood rings are made using a form of steam bending; using heat and moisture to soften and bend wood around a former, once dried the wood retains its bent form.
Bent wood rings are a much easy but also stronger method of making rings compared to drilling out a solid block of wood
Bent wood rings have grain running around the ring multiple time laminated together for strength despite being thin.
Making rings from a solid block of wood you would have grain running across a very small section where it would snap.

So incredibly helpful.
I’m currently trying different ways to make rings!! And this is a very cool and efficient way! Very easy to. Gonna try this with some Purple Heart
What are you putting on ? Glue?
What type of glue and sandpaper you use
Can you make black wooden ones? I’d ove to get some!
Do you sell them?
Very cool, but I don’t know about that super glue finish; a nice oil or wax finish would look better and be safer for skin contact.

What kind of glue is used

What do you use to spread the CA glue?

Dude that’s awesome bro!! I’m making a ring right now with a lathe in my engineering class!
Thank you! Cool, I hope it turns out great !
Instructions unclear. Accidentally made metal ring.
😂
What size wire do you use for your inlay?
I use 0.8mm wire for larger rings and 0.5mm for slimmer rings
Is that just CA glue you're using to coat the ring or a resin?

Hey, I have a quick question, what finish do you use to make the rings and wooden jewelry?

Why did you stop taking orders? Will you start again someday?
I stopped to go travelling I will be reopening my shop again when I'm back in about a year
Interesting method. I have always made my rings out of solid wood. 👍
I find this method easier and also a stronger ring as there is no cross grain weak spots
Good job! 👍 I've also made a few rings, mainly from eucalyptus wood.😊
Thanks Thats a lovely wood, I use that for some of my rings too
